More Samples, Potential New Collection and an update!

Here are a few more samples I've been working on! With the application date for the Harley Gallery drawing near I've had to crack on and get some new things made to send off.

Im potentially going to be doing a tool review tomorrow on one of the new hammers I bought a few weeks ago so keep an eye for that! 

Im really pleased with the out comes, apart from the twisted bangle, I think for a ring the 1mm wire is fine but for the bangle its just too flimsy. I may potentially try it out with 1.5mm wire and see how it works out

My workshops had a bit of a spring clean too thanks to my dad, he's cleared a lot more of his stuff out so I now have more room, though Ive yet to see so will have a look tomorrow! I find that I really struggle for space at times where Im trying to do multiple things at once so hopefully the new found space will be able to ease things up a bit.

Beach Hut Brighton

I love the seaside and I love Brighton.

Im hoping to move there in the very near future,

So I decided to do a little homage to Brighton with 

these super cute Beach hut pendant designs.

With all this rain lately I wanted to

 do something a little more summery

to get back into the spirit of summer 

and what better way than with these!

This is what I've been working on today.

Sterling Silver ID Tag style Bracelet.

I've made it personal for myself,

CT being my initials and 1990 being my year of birth.

New Designs

Since I didn't get the job I decided I wanted to 

spend the summer drawing up some new designs 

and making my portfolio bigger and better. 

I really enjoyed spending the afternoon drawing 

and had forgotten how much I liked it since uni 

had taken the enjoyment from it.

Degree Show!

So 3 years later, a lot of tears, new friendships, experiences, growing up and independence

I have finally completed my degree.

I can honestly say its been the best 3 years of my life 

and I cant have got a better group of friends or life experiences

from doing anything else.

So here it is, my BA Hons Decorative Arts

Degree show.

I hope you have enjoyed my trials and tribulations

of my blog throughout my final year at uni

and appreciate the hard work Ive put in 

to make my degree show what it is.

My Almost Finished Portfolio

Ive finally finished editing all my photos, 

I need to print a few more off I think and add

 my cv in but then its all done!

Im so happy with it, makes my work

look 10 times better than it is.

Fingers crossed I may even get a job from it.

Sketching up the Final Designs

 So I have 3 sketch books pretty full of drawings which needed condensing down into a final collection.

I havent quite got them all finished but I have a rough 

idea what I want for my degree show.

here are a few of the sheets Ive drawn out to make

my life a tad bit easier.

With 3 weeks to go Ive got a lot of work to do,

There will be plenty of all nighters and a lot of 

pro plus involved.
